LAND-SCAPE
The love of nature has inspired me to strive for buildings that change the way we build and see architecture among Singapore's landscape. I want to explore new ways of how architecture can not only exist alongside the landscape but more importantly how architecture can nourish and flourish our landscape and its biodiversity. The Biophilia hypothesis speaks about humans' innate tendency to seek connections with nature and other forms of life. Edward O. Wilson talks about the powerful effect Biophilia has on the human brain and society's outlook on life, through the simplicity of 'happiness' and the 'love of life'. I strongly believe that architecture should be created with such qualities for the benefit of the society.
